Hi all, here is the latest update...
Mia is slowly improving. She is now down to 30% oxygen from the machine and they have been able to reduce the NO2 that helps her absorb the oxygen as well. She is not breathing on her own, the machine is doing all of the breathing for her though so that is an item of concern. We haven't been able to see a doctor today but hopefully tomorrow we will be able to talk with one before Rachael checks out.
Other good news is her bladder and intestines appear to be working so we are excited about that. Each day she is improving and we know that God is watching over her. The nursing staff watching her is also phenomenal as well. We are amazed at how nice everyone has been and they all have been very patient in answering all of our questions. We are so grateful that we have been fortunate to be here at Sunrise Children's Hospital.
On another note, sine we will be going home tomorrow, we will be able to post updates online instead of through e-mail. My sister already has been posting updates and pictures on her blog. I think starting tomorrow we will be sending information through her blog. Eventually when we get a chance we will setup our own blog page. You can reach the site at:
Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers. Rachael and I have been encouraged to know that so many people are praying for us and that God is continuously watching over Mia.
Robert
This is such a beautiful photo of mommy love.
